Say Hello To My Little Friend

I started this blog last month and it has been waaaay more active than I would have thought. So, instead of turning away review requests, I decided to recruit some help. I didn't have to look far and I think she will be a great addition to the blog. I know you will enjoy reading her reviews and random thoughts.  So, without further ado, please say hello to.........................

Hello people. My name is Jessica or Jessie if you prefer.
You are in for a treat today!  Not only do you get to learn a little bit about me (you’re so lucky!)  You also get to hear (or read) my opinions!  And let me tell you my opinions are great! (I am very wise) One of the first things you will probably notice about me is my humble nature and quiet modesty (it’s hard to miss it).  It’s a part of what makes me so great J  any way, I am a shy and subdued stay at home mom, who is getting ready to rejoin the work force.  My biggest love in life (not including friends and family……..okay, not including some friends and family…YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE) is my kindle.  I live and breathe for it. My husband has on more than one occasion threatened to take it out side and shoot it. (The horror!)  I absolutely love to read.  I usually knock out about a book a day, sometimes more, not very often, but sometimes less.  Just to give you an idea of how obsessed with books I am, I read the entire Twilight Series in 4 days.  Let me tell you, I did not get a lot of sleep that week.  Anyway, so you can imagine my delight when Heather asked me if I would like to help her review books for her blog. How great is that! I have a legitimate reason to read!  Maybe now he will stop sending my kindle dirty looks.  I can just hear it now “No darling, I am not trying to ignore you and my wifely duties, but golly jee, I promised Heather that I would help her with her blog, and you know how important it is to stand by your word” (hehehe, evil laugh) One of my other favorite pass times is giving my opinion. Do you see how great this is working out for me?  I know right!  J  Any way it was fun talking to you and I really hope that we can see more of each other.  Keep a look out for my reviews, they will guide you in the right direction, you know because I am so wise and all.

Hello Jessica, thank you so much for joining Red Headed Bookworm. I just wanted to ask a few fun questions to help our readers get to know you better.

What is your favorite book/series?
Out of all the books that I have ever read, and believe me there have been a lot, my all time favorite is the Twilight Saga.  I am one of those people who will not read the same book or watch a movie twice.  That being said, I have read Twilight Saga seven times.

What genre(s) do you enjoying reading most?
I have two favorite genres depending on my mood.  Historical Romance and Paranormal Romance.

What is the worst book you have ever read?
You know I don’t even know that name of the book.  I will say that for someone who has to finish a book, good or bad, once I’ve started reading it or the world will come to an awful end, I could not finish the book.  The author was so descriptive that I would skip page after page after page of her describing the scenery just to find out what the people in the book had to say next.  But you will be happy to know that I did not throw the book away. I have a small stack of books that I do not like holding up the bottom right side of my bed. Don’t ask me how I broke it (hehehe) I will tell you this, I was not reading at the time  J

When did you discover your love for reading?
I discovered my love for reading when I was thirteen years old.  My mother always read romance novels and I used to make fun of her all the time.  One day she gave me my first romance and told me to read it.  That book got me into so much trouble at school and it got me laughed atJ.  Once I picked it up I could not put it down, and at the time that was a bad thing because I took it to class with me.  Mr. Lumpkins did not think it was amusing when I busted out laughing during one of his long lectures.  And when I started bawling in Mrs. Richardson’s class my friends gave me a hard time and she gave me a hard look.

Favorite place to read?
My favorite place to read is on my couch after every one has gone to bed.

Favorite color?
Blue

Favorite food?
Shrimp and rice with white cheese sauce from the Mexican restaurant.

Book boyfriend(s)?
Jacob Black in Twilight by Stephaney Myer
Paul Donavan in Donovan’s angel by Peggy Web
Hank Wyatt in Imagine by Jill Barnett
All of the heroes from Johanna Lindsey’s Malory Series (Anthony and James are my most favorite of that bunch)
So far all of the heroes of the Black Dagger Brotherhood by JR Ward
Malcolm Cole in The Big Bad Wolf Romance Compilation Bundle (book 2) by heather Killough-Walden
Dante in Kiss of Crimson by Lara Adrian
Samson in Samson s Lovely Mortal by Tina Folsom

Favorite movie?
Pretty Woman

If you could have any superpower what would you choose?
Whatever power that would allow me to know the lottery numbers before they are drawn J

If you could travel in a Time Machine would you go back to the past or into the future?
I would go back into the past, there are some things that I did when I was younger that I would like to undo.

If you could jump in to a book, and live in that world.. which would it be?
Gentle Rouge by Johanna Lindsey

If someone wrote a book about your life, what would the title be?
Bi-Polar *itch!   (at least that what my husband said the title should be)

Thanks Jessica for joining the team. I look forward to reading your exciting reviews!

  1. Welcome, Jessica! I'm looking forward to reading your reviews.

I'm really thankful that my husband doesn't begrudge me one minute of my reading time. He's too busy reading to notice, or he's excited about me finishing the book I'm on so that we can discuss it.

  2. Thanks I hope I do not disapoint. You are very lucky to have a husband who reads. You have something you have in common and you two can share that together. I think thats great. If I wanted to share special time with my hubby I would have to throw on some camo, grab my 22 rifle and jump into the back of his pick up screaming yeeehawww as we rode into dawn's early light to kill us some critters!
