drained of blood, the highly-trained, government-funded special police force
assigned two of their best detectives to the case. S.U.I.T. Detectives Warren
Davis and Matthew Eric delve deep into their investigation to discover just who
or what is leaving mutilated bodies
in public places. They soon realize that the killer or killers is one step
ahead of them and if they are going to stop the menace before another innocent
human is viciously attack, they are going to need help.

Natasha Hemingway liked her life just the way it was... normal
and supernatural-free. The vampires and shape-shifters were just where she wanted them to be--far away from her. All was going well until an unfortunate accident landed her in the hospital. It was then that she discovered she had an
ability that could help her save countless lives. All of a sudden, she finds herself
thrust into the dangerous and alluring world of the supernatural and into the
arms of two very sexy and deadly vampires.

Original, gritty and sprinkled with just the right amount of
humor and wit, the Knights of the Darkness Chronicles will suck you in and take
you for a ride you won't forget. You don't want to miss out on this amazing
series.

Interview with D.N. Simmons

Do you have any hidden talents?
When I’m not writing, I’m a masked caped crusader vanquishing
evil wherever I may find it. LOL. I only wish. You have to forgive me; I’m still reeling from seeing
“The Avengers”.
I would say that one of my hidden talents is composing classical piano music. I also love to cook
and I do enjoy dabbling in poetry.

Cat or dog?
Both. I love animals. I have a cat named “Caleb” and a Russian-bred German Shepard
named “Cyril”.

How long have you been writing?
I’ve been writing since I was eleven years old. I started with
short horror stories no more than two to five pages long.

If you could visit any place, where would it be? I’d love to visit Japan. I’m a huge fan of Japanese
culture and animation.

Favorite food?
Lobster, crab, steak, Mexican and chicken. :D
What jobs did you have before you became a writer? I worked at an animal shelter in Chicago,
both in the kennels and in customer service. The other job; I’m an instructor for adults with
developmental disabilities, which I find to be very rewarding.

What is one book you could read over and over?
I’ve read “The Vampire Lestat” by Anne Rice
several times as well as “The Tattooed Rood” by Kyle Onstott and Lance Horner.

What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy going out to restaurants, to the theater, dancing and
reading a great book or watching a fantastic TV show.

How do reviews, good or bad, affect you?
I learn from them. As a writer, you hope that all of your
reviews are stellar. But that is not always the case, in fact, it’s never the case. You have to be able to
listen to your readership, see what they think are your strengths and/or your weaknesses and then
improve upon both.

When writing, do you plot and organize, or do you write then fit it all together?
 My method is
pretty loose when I think about it. I’ll have ideas of what key scenarios I want to happen within the
story and then I connect scenes to lead into each main scenario. It’s another reason why I prefer to
write in third-person narrative. I enjoy the freedom it gives me to take the story and characters in
new directions.

What is one thing you absolutely cannot do without while writing?
Music. I have to have music
when I’m writing. Sometimes I find one song that really gets me in the mood and I put it on repeat.
Once the melody flows, so does the story.

Tell us why we should read your book.
I began writing the “Knights of the Darkness Chronicles”
because I love the genre. I love vampires and shape-shifters and the allure of their world. But more
importantly, I wanted to read an urban-fantasy book that was different from the others I’d read. I
wanted to give readers who also love the genre as much as I do a story that would take them on a
new kind of adventure. When you read “Desires Unleashed” you are instantly engulfed in a world of
danger, eroticism, mystery and action. You begin to delve into a fantasy world so exciting and
realistic, that you may have difficulty putting the book down. I like to say that this series is written
by a fan of vampires and shifters for fans of vampires and shifters.

What are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on the sixth and final installment of
the “Knights of the Darkness Chronicles” due this year titled, “Unholy Alliance”. It’s going to be
dynamic and everything that’s happened in the previous five books will come to an explosive
conclusion.

Anything you would like to add?
I want to thank you all for this wonderful opportunity. I love
crafting stories that take the reader’s imagination to the limit, relinquishing only when the last page
